1. Information we collect

We collect account details such as name, email address, phone number, login status, profile details, and account type. During checkout and account management, we may collect delivery addresses, billing details, order history, cart and wishlist activity, payment method preference, support messages, and return or warranty information.

2. Business and GST information

For B2B buyers and distributors, we may collect company name, GSTIN, registered business address, business phone number, approval status, purchase history, invoice details, and procurement-related communications. This information is used for account verification, GST invoicing, business order handling, fraud prevention, and support.

3. Payment information

When online payment is available, payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers. Microchip Cart may receive transaction references, payment status, failure reasons, refund status, and verification results, but does not need to store full card, UPI, or banking credentials on the storefront.

4. Technical and usage data

We collect technical usage data such as device type, browser information, pages viewed, searches, product views, cart actions, checkout events, community activity, and approximate delivery-location inputs. This helps improve product discovery, prevent abuse, debug errors, and maintain site performance.

5. How we use your information

Your data is used to process orders, generate GST invoices, provide delivery updates, prevent fraud, respond to support requests, and improve product discovery. Business account data may be used to verify distributor eligibility and manage wholesale workflows.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Order, payment, address, and business information may be shared with payment processors, logistics partners, technology providers, compliance providers, professional advisers, or authorities only when needed to fulfil purchases, run the storefront, prevent misuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

7. Cookies and local storage

The site may use cookies, sessions, and browser local storage to keep users signed in, remember cart and wishlist data, preserve settings, support checkout, and improve navigation. You can clear browser storage, but some storefront features may reset or require signing in again.

8. Retention

We retain account, order, invoice, GST, payment-status, support, and audit information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with tax and legal requirements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. Some order and invoice records may remain after account deletion where retention is legally or operationally required.

9. Your choices

You may update profile details from your account, manage saved addresses where available, clear local cart or wishlist data, request order support via support@microchipcart.in, or delete your login account from account settings. Business buyers may be asked to keep GST and billing records accurate for invoice compliance.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards such as secure sessions, limited access controls, payment-provider verification, and environment-based secrets. No online system is risk-free, so users should protect passwords, OTPs, devices, and account access.

11. Children and student users

Microchip Cart may be used by students and college builders for electronics projects, but purchases and business account submissions should be made by users who can lawfully provide the required contact, billing, tax, and payment information.

We may update this privacy policy as features, payment methods, business workflows, delivery coverage, or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available on this page.
